Jouw vaardigheden & kennis
The Mechanic is responsible for performing common mechanical maintenance tasks based on instructions and guidance. Under supervision, they also carry out larger and more complex tasks.
Objective:
To perform corrective and preventive maintenance and construction tasks, primarily mechanical and to a limited extent electrical, according to schedules and fault reports. The goal is to ensure the effective availability of installations and equipment and to meet quality and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities of the role:
•Understanding work orders, technical specifications, drawings, schematics, manuals.
•Assessing the issue or maintenance task (diagnosis, approach, tools, and safety measures); consulting with Mechanic A, supervisor, or production manager for complex issues or tasks.
•Ensuring and verifying compliance with safety, permits, and alignment requirements.
•(Dis)assembling, repairing, overhauling, and replacing equipment/components, often after consulting Mechanic A and/or supervisor.
•Fabricating construction and machine parts in the workshop.
•Modifying, adjusting, and testing installations.
•Transferring installations to production and functionally supporting operators.
•Helping to keep technical documentation up-to-date.
•Completing additional records.
•Collaborate with clients/requestors regarding diagnosis, maintenance execution, task completion, securing, and handing over installations.
•Performing inspections:
oInspecting the maintenance condition of installations and equipment, identifying and anticipating irregularities.
oTaking measures to prevent potential production loss, equipment damage, or environmental and safety risks as needed.
oReporting findings.
•Performing function-related administration and reporting:
oAccounting for materials and parts used.
oOrdering and submitting parts for repair according to procedure.
oLogging work hours and completed tasks.

•Operate equipment and work with tools to resolve issues.
•Draw sketches as needed.
•Operate machining equipment (e.g., drilling, milling, turning) in the workshop.
