Our client is an international company, specialized in the development and machining of components, primarily gears and shafts for the automotive sector. Their site is ideally positioned to serve all aspects of the production, including incubation, R&D, prototyping, machining and the heat treatment

  • Organize, install and optimize the whole production process of the CNC machining department
  • Interpreting and analyzing technical drawings and specifications of the parts, delivered by the R&D department
  • Defining the right and most efficient production process (machinery, tooling, support mechanism), in order to deliver the parts in time, in accordance with the deadlines targeted by the sales department
  • Start-up the production and support production where necessary
  • Manage a team of +- 50 people (different Manufacturing Engineers and CNC programmers/operators)
  • Organize maintenance and repairs of the machines and production lines
  • Manage deliveries of tools, raw material, parts, etc.
  • Manage the quality control of the produced parts
  • Inform head engineers about the progress of the machining
  • Due to the international activities of this company, it is necessary for an engineer to travel abroad to the different factories in Europe, China and Mexico. Travelling is hence an important part of the job!
  • Knowledge of different kind of optimizing programs can be treated as a plus (Kaizen, S5, FMEA, Six Sigma…)


  • Master in Mechanical Engineering, specialization: CNC processing
  • Good knowledge of CNC machining, production processes and optimization techniques,
  • A strong affinity for the automotive or mechanical industry
  • Fluent English
  • Willing to travel frequently (valid passport)
